Ai-Ai Gasa Batwing Bow Tie
In Japan the name for a traditional style bamboo and paper umbrella is Wagasa. Wagasa are a symbol of romance for the Japanese, in particular the image of a man and a women sharing an umbrella in the rain. Kids in Japan will even use a drawing of a Wagasa with a name on each side to represent their love, much like the heart symbol is used in the west. I named the Ai-Ai Gasa necktie after it’s namesake Japanese phrase that translates to “Love-Love Umbrella. And I know you will Love-Love this necktie and bowtie that are made from beautifully rich Japanese textured dobby cotton with grey and cream umbrellas.
